Product application principle:

Ceramic catalyst carrier used in gasoline engine exhaust purification system. The surface of the carrier is coated with catalyst. Through high geometric contact surface area and low heat capacity, the performance of the catalyst is improved, the volume of the catalyst is reduced and the precious metal is reduced. When the vehicle exhaust passes through, the harmful components such as HC, CO, and NOX in the exhaust gas are turned into harmless components, so that the exhaust gas emission meets the requirements of more stringent exhaust regulations.

Honeycomb ceramic as a carrier is a key component of the three-way catalytic converter. One of its important materials is cordierite, which is resistant to high temperatures, has a high continuous working temperature of up to 1200°C, high strength, and low linear expansion coefficient. The carrier adopts an effective surface and a suitable pore structure. The opening rate of the ceramic carrier can reach 400-600 mesh/inch2, and the small wall thickness can reach about 0.16mm. It can enhance the mechanical strength of the catalyst, and also improve its resistance to wear, impact, gravity, pressure, high temperature, and phase change, improve the conductivity of the catalyst, and reduce the content of active components, especially in When using precious metal catalysts of platinum, palladium, and rhodium, the active components can be highly dispersed and the dosage can be reduced.

Metallic catalyst substrates are made of thin metal foils. The advantages of metal substrates are their high geometric surface area, low pressure drop and improved flow properties associated with the thin walls. The foils in metallic substrates can be brazed/welded together to provide good mechanical durability and resistance to thermal shock.

The quality of the substrate is extremely important to the catalytic converter. The mesh number of the honeycomb ceramic substrate can be 200 CPSI, 300 CPSI, 400 CPSI or 600 CPSI. The cross-sectional shape is round, racetrack, ellipse, and some special shapes according to customer requirements. The purpose is to adapt to the needs of different car models.
